Lexington Man Charged In Austin Murder, Shooting Spree

AUSTIN (KXAN ) – A man who police say is the suspect in an Austin homicide and shooting spree is a Lexington native.  Charles Curry is charged with killing someone at a South Austin apartment complex and going on a shooting spree on Interstate 35, according to KXAN. BOURBON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – After an initial charge of tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse, a Bourbon County man has been charged with murder. Michael Hutsell was arrested in connection to the disappearance of  53-year-old Tina Johnson. Johnson disappeared in 2016 and her body was found in a crawl space of a home in High Street in January of 2017. Baby Found Crawling On Floyd County Road

HAROLD, Ky. (EKB) – Social services were called after a child was found in the middle of a Floyd County highway in a soiled diaper. Several motorists in the Mud Creek community found the child Wednesday evening.  A neighbor stopped to direct traffic and others ran to get supplies for the infant. Champions of Change- Lafayette Archer Ties for Third Place in Eastern Nationals Tournament

With a score of 297, archer Cole Murphy of Lafayette tied for third place among boys in the 2018 NASP Eastern Nationals tournament in Louisville, which concluded May 12. More than 2,500 high school boys and nearly 7,500 total boys competed. Cole also tied for second place among the 683 sophomores. Multiple Fire Depts. Responding To Recycling Center Fire

WHITLEY COUNTY, K. (Times-Tribune) – Several fire departments are responding to a fire at Eastern Kentucky Recycling in Williamsburg. The center is located on Savoy Clear Creek Road. There are currently eight fire departments on scene, according to The Times-Tribune. The fire is producing toxic smokes. Residents are asked to stay indoors to avoid breathing the fumes.
