FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Frankfort school plans to hand out hundreds of books this summer and they’re looking for donations to keep their bins full.
Jessamine County Public Library was our second stop on our LEX18 Summer Reads tour. Our visit took us to South Africa, through Safari Live, which is an interactive safari streaming live. We visited the Sobby Sands of The Great Keuger National Park during winter in the southern hemisphere. Meteorologist Jill Szwed read Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs to the kids. Summer programs run through July 21st. Visit the Jessamine County Public Library to register in person for new summer programs, signing up is free of charge.
Anderson Public Library was our first stop on our LEX18 Summer Reads tour. Our visit had a great interactive event geared towards the entire family focusing on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math), with multiple stations to test the experiments. Meteorologist Jill Szwed read The Earth Book to the children and parents. Summer reading programs runs through July 19th. Visit the Anderson Public Library to register in person for brand new summer programs, signing up is free of charge.
